Top 10 Seo Tips

Search engines are a great way to get the targeted traffic you need. Your site needs to be optimized correctly so that you not only get indexed quickly, but also get higher rankings.

1. Use h1 and h2 tags

You should have your title and subtitle in a h1 and h2 tag. The title of your page/website should also have the keywords you’re targeting. The keywords in the h1 and h2 tags get more emphasis.

2. Bold keywords in your content

You should bold the keywords you’re targeting at least once in two paragraphs. Bold keywords get more emphasis.

3. Keyword Density

Try to use the keywords you’re targeting quite frequently. But you should still maintain your keyword density at an optimum level. Don’t use your keywords too frequently. One of the keywords in one paragraph is more than enough.

4. Use your keywords in images’ alt tag

If you have several images in your site, try having at least one of your keyword in it. Don’t spam all the images with the same keyword. Search Engines don’t like pages spammed with keywords. If your site is on Game Creation for example, have image alt tags as, “Game Creation Software Image”, if the image is on a software used to create games.

5. Have one-way back links from various sites

If your site is offering a product, you could request another site to have a link to your site for getting your product free-of-charge or at a discounted rate. You can even buy back links from various sites, but offering your product free of charge for back linking can quickly develop quality back links.

6. Save some space on your page to fill it up with keywords

Having different keywords directly on your site can get your site indexed and you may get higher rankings. But just putting a list of keywords could be considered as spam. If your site provides a search feature, make a separate space which shows the users the list of frequently searched for keywords. This way, you are legally having a keyword list on your page.

7. Use traffic tracking tools

Use traffic tracking tools like Google Analytics. Find out what keywords bring maximum traffic to your page. If a specific keyword delivers the most to your site, concentrate more on it. You may be able to gain more traffic from that keyword than others.

8. Analyze others’ site

Analyze other sites which are targeting the same keywords as yours. Don’t try to target a keyword for which millions of sites are fighting for. Start from something small and specific. Target keywords which are targeted about around 1000 to 2000 websites. As your site grows, you can target higher ranked keywords.

9. Don’t use duplicate contents

Don’t simply buy PLR articles and dump it on your website, thinking that it’d get your site indexed for a higher range of keywords. Search Engines don’t like duplicate contents. Your site can even get banned for it. Don’t rely too much on hyped up software that claim that they can turn your PLR articles into unique articles. If a software which replaces words by its synonyms and calling it unique can act so smart, Search Engines can be even smarter.

10. Spelling Mistakes

Try targeting even those keywords which are misspelled by the majority. This way, even when someone types the wrong spelling, he can still land up on your site which would provide him with what he was searching for.
